By January 6, 2026, the top bid, including the buyer’s premium, had already hit about $1.6 million, with 40 days still remaining for bids.
Famed for its rarity and importance in the Pokémon Trading Card Game, the Pikachu Illustrator card was initially given to winners of a 1998 illustration contest in Japan. According to Guinness World Records, only 39 of these cards were ever made.
Logan Paul purchased this card in 2021 for a staggering $5,275,000, breaking the record for the highest private sale price for a Pokémon card. He has showcased the card at public events, notably at WrestleMania 38, where it was displayed in a specially made case on a gold chain.
