Topps’ NCAA March Madness Basketball Card Series Unveiled

Topps, a leading name in the trading card industry, has teamed up with the NCAA to introduce an exciting new March Madness basketball card series that is set to capture the hearts of sports enthusiasts and collectors alike. With packs priced at $139.99 each, containing a guaranteed autograph card from a roster of talented players, this limited-time collection is a must-have for fans of the game.

Included in each pack are eight cards, with the standout feature being the autographed card. Among the notable players featured in this series are Zach Edey, the men’s Player of the Year from Purdue, and Caitlin Clark, the women’s Player of the Year. Accompanying the autographed card are six base cards and one parallel card, numbered to 99 or fewer, adding an element of exclusivity to this special collection. These packs are available for purchase exclusively through Topps’ official website until Thursday, offering collectors a chance to own a piece of basketball history.

One of the highlights of this collection is the carefully curated lineup of 20 athletes who have agreed to be featured in the series. From Reed Sheppard and Rob Dillingham of Kentucky to Caitlin Clark of Iowa, this collection showcases some of the brightest talents in college basketball. Notable dual autographs in the series include pairings like Clark/Edey, Clark/Reese, Reese/Van Lith, and Sheppard/Dillingham, adding a unique touch to the collection.

It’s worth noting that Caitlin Clark’s inclusion in Topps’ series will come to a close on April 1, as she gears up for an exclusive trading card agreement with Panini America. This collaboration with the NCAA not only allows Topps to incorporate the iconic March Madness logo and branding into their products but also hints at potential future joint projects that could further excite collectors and fans of the game.

Throughout the season, Topps has released over 120 Bowman U cards via the Topps NOW platform, showcasing the talents of college basketball stars. Among these, Caitlin Clark stands out with 13 different cards featuring her, the most among all college athletes. The integration of college players into the traditional Topps Bowman University line for the past two years has brought a new dimension to the collector’s experience, showcasing the vibrancy and dynamism of college sports in a unique and captivating way.
