Upper Deck Signs Michael Misa in Exclusive Partnership

Upper Deck, renowned for its sports collectibles, has made a significant move by entering into an exclusive multi-year partnership with Michael Misa, a prodigious talent in junior hockey poised to be a top selection in the 2025 NHL Draft. At only 15 years old, Misa was granted “Exceptional Status” for the 2022-23 season in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), becoming just the sixth player in the league’s history to receive this distinction. Now 17, he has already made waves by securing the OHL’s Rookie of the Year award and the esteemed Emms Family Award.

Jason Masherah, the President of Upper Deck, expressed palpable excitement over signing Misa, emphasizing the company’s eagerness to curate a distinctive assortment of Misa’s memorabilia and trading cards. This collection is designed to provide fans with fresh ways to commemorate Misa’s evolving career, encompassing both physical and digital formats.

Fans can now access an exclusive memorabilia line-up, including autographed game-used pucks from Misa’s time with the Saginaw Spirit, prints of his #77 jersey, and signed jerseys capturing pivotal moments from his nascent career. In tandem, Upper Deck has introduced three Game Dated Moments trading cards on UpperDeckEpack.com, immortalizing Misa’s milestones such as being the #1 pick in the 2022 OHL Priority Draft, scoring his first goal, and clinching the Rookie of the Year accolade. Moreover, the first 25 collectors to complete the set will receive an autographed rendition of Misa’s Rookie of the Year award card as a special incentive, available for purchase until February 22.

Misa conveyed his elation at joining the ranks of Upper Deck’s roster of athletes, which includes hockey icons like Wayne Gretzky and Connor McDavid. He underscored the significance of this partnership in realizing childhood aspirations and sharing his journey with supporters. This collaboration between Upper Deck and Michael Misa not only commemorates a burgeoning hockey talent’s ascent in the sports realm but also upholds Upper Deck’s heritage of connecting fans with their sports idols through innovative and captivating collectibles.
